With its minimalist controls and quality connections this beaut was easy to install. The low-pass filter had notches making it easy to tune, too. Sound-wise it didn't deliver a warm buld up of bass; instead the sound was more, well on or off. The Alpine did have a hell of a lot of balls, but for some reason it couldnt control this power. With a performance that was comparable with the £150 cheaper JVC, we expected more.
