Well, with a new set of wheels to hand, we got the orange beast booked in for another MOT.

Righto, a nice 2 mile drive, lets go!...

1 Mile down the road.... "is that rubber I can smell?"

Bang!... Crunch Crunch Crunch.

Bollox! There goes the back tyre, and then the sound of the £900 wheel grinding against the tarmac.

Even with our best efforts, changing the wheel with the new one was just not going to happen. We called out a local engineer to assist, and even with his trolley jack, we still couldn't get the slammed two tonne monster off the ground.

The only option left was to drive the van, on the wheel rim, for a mile to the mechs workshop.

2 Miles took 4 hours and 20 minutes, and lets just say the locals didnt appreciate the 2 mph safety car at rush hour on friday!

Another supprise waited for us at the garage. The nice new MOMO 18"s we bought, DIDNT FIT. A communication error left use with a wheel with a PCB of 110 instead of 114.3 that was needed. Dont worry thou, new wheels are on the way as we speak, so hopefully we will be on the road shortly, fingers crossed.

On cool thing from that day was the mechanics number plate, it made us chuckle for some time :)
